SMTP Authentication Configuration How To

Outlook 2000
Go to Tools > Services (or Tools > Accounts).
Select your Email Account and press "Properties."
Go to the "Servers" tab,
Change the outgoing mail server (SMTP) to smtp.dhakacom.com
and check "My server requires authentication"
under Outgoing Mail Server.
Press "Settings," select "Log on using" and provide the username &
password for your outgoing mail
server. Then press "OK" three times to save the changes & return to
Outlook.

 

Outlook 2002 / 2003
Go to Tools > E-Mail Accounts.
Select "View or change existing e-mail accounts" and press "Next."
Select your Email Account and press "Change."
Change the outgoing mail server (SMTP) to smtp.dhakacom.com
Press "More Settings." Go to the "Outgoing Server" tab, and check "My
outgoing server (SMTP)
requires authentication."
Select "Log on using" and provide the username & password for your
outgoing mail server.
Press "Next," then press "Finish" to confirm your changes and return to
Outlook.

 

Outlook Express
Go to Tools > Accounts. Select the "Mail" tab.
Select your Email account and press "Properties."
Go to the "Servers" tab,
Change the outgoing mail server (SMTP) to smtp.dhakacom.com
and check "My server requires authentication"
under Outgoing Mail Server.
Press "Settings," select "Log on using" and provide the username &
password for your outgoing mail
server.
Then press "OK" twice times to save the changes, then press "Close" to
return to Outlook Express.

 

Thunderbird 1.5
Go to Program > Tools. Click on Account Settings
Click on Outgoing Server SMTP. Highlight the email account. Click on
Edit
Change the outgoing mail server (SMTP) to smtp.dhakacom.com
Under the Security and Authentication section, Ensure the check box
next
to Use name and password is
checked.
If it is not check, click on the box next to UseEnter your Username
in the
text box next to user name.
Click OK

 

Microsoft office outlook-2007
Go to Tools > Accounts setting
Double click on email account
In the change email account window
Change the outgoing mail server (SMTP) to smtp.dhakacom.com
Press "More Settings." button Go to the "Outgoing Server" tab
Select my outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
Select "Log on using" and provide the username & password for your
outgoing mail server
press ok.
